New Friday Headliner, Day Tickets and Coach Travel!!

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

Wow, wow, wow, wow……

Things are pretty hectic here at 2000trees Towers, as we get ready for the best weekend of the summer! We’ve got some big announcements to make, so here goes…

EIGHTIES MATCHBOX B-LINE DISASTER!

That’s right, we are ecstatic to announce that the Friday night at 2000trees will now be headlined by the Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster. We think they’ll be an awesome replacement for the sadly departed Reuben – hopefully you’ll agree too! A huge thanks to everyone who suggested potential replacement bands – rest assured that if you didn’t get what you wanted this year then we’ll do our best to make you happy next year. Unfortunately, we couldn’t please everyone and you really did have some eclectic suggestions…from Laura Marling to Gallows!!

DAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW!

With Early Entry Permits now SOLD OUT and limited Weekend Tickets remaining, the demand for 2000trees this year has been amazing – so thanks for your support.! We realise that a few of you still haven’t bought your tickets so just to keep you happy we are releasing a strictly limited amount of day tickets (not including camping) for £25 each.

COACH TRAVEL – USE IT OR LOSE IT!

Question: How difficult is it to reduce your carbon emissions? Answer: Not hard at all! Just choose now to leave your car at home, yes that’s right, simple as that. Hang up the car keys and jump on board with Festival Coaches who are running a coach service to and from London and also a Shuttle Bus to and from Cheltenham Railway Station. Believe us, by doing this you will vastly reduce your carbon footprint, don’t believe us, then take a look at the stats below for a London to Cheltenham journey:

• Car - 21.3 kg
• Rail - 10.6 kg
• Coach - 3.3 kg

To re-coin an old and slightly cheesy phrase ‘it’s one small step for you, but one massive step for the planet’! Unfortunately, Festival Coaches are only able to run the services if there is a sufficient number of bookings so if you are intending on getting the coach please making a booking soon!

That’s all for now!

Cheers

Reuben Pull out of 2000trees.

Friday, June 6th, 2008

We regret to confirm that Reuben has pulled out of all touring and recording commitments until further notice, which includes the 2000trees festival. To see the full anouncement go to Reuben’s website at www.wordsfromreuben.com/2007/news.php

We realise that many of you were particularly looking forward to seeing Reuben headline 2000trees, as were we.

Our priority at this time is to provide Reuben and 2000trees fans with a suitable replacement act to headline the festival, so please bear with us while we work on this.

This is your festival, so if you have any suggestions for who you would like to see step into Reuben’s shoes, get onto our forum pages at www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk and let us know.

Finally, we would also like to send our best wishes to Jamie and all of the band, and look forward to welcoming them back to 2000trees when they’ve overcome their present difficulties.
