Life’s a journey – share it!
Why not consider car sharing to 2000 Trees?

It’s a great way to save money if you’re driving and, as it’s built around Facebook, you can see if your mates are going, find people with similar music tastes, and check people out before agreeing to share.  Plus it’s a fun way to travel and meet people!

With the average 100 mile car journey leading to over 20 kg of CO2 being produced, goCarShare has the potential to reduce the festival’s carbon footprint considerably.

So if you’re driving, or need a lift, click here and share the journey!

Rail
Trains to Cheltenham:
- from Bristol Temple Meads – 40 mins
- from Birmingham New Street – 40 mins
- from London Paddington – 2 hrs

Road
Access to the 2000trees site must be via the A436 (all other access routes will be closed).

- From M4 Junction 15 (approx 40mins). Take the A419 North. At Cirencester take the A417 towards Cheltenham. After approximately 8 miles turn right onto the A436.
- From M5 Junction 11A (approx 15mins). Take the A417 East for approximately 4 miles. At the roundabout join the A436.
- From the A436. 400 metres East of Foxcote, leave the A436 and follow the signs towards 2000trees!

Please note that a pick up / drop off area is situated just inside the 2000trees entrance.

Car parking charge
There is no escaping the fact that the single biggest source of carbon emissions for any festival comes from car travel. Thus after much thought, we have come to the difficult decision to impose a £5 car parking charge at 2000trees, payable on arrival at the site. Of course we are keen to acknowledge the effort that some of you make to share lifts, and we have therefore decided that cars with four or more guests will be exempt from the charge.

Fear not, this is not some cynical money making scheme on our part, the majority of the proceeds are being used to subsidise an improved shuttle bus service from Cheltenham train station, which will dovetail with national rail connections and also operate at a frequency and price which will make the service a preferable alternative to using local taxis. The remainder of the revenue will then be used to improve the site infrastructure to allow for a broader national coach service.
