. . . a close second, Ash.

to be fair Ash have aways been a bit hit and miss, on every album there are some killer tracks and some shitty ones. I thought the last few albums were pretty good though - meltdown especially.

Hey, thanks for a great 2000 trees this year.
Here are my suggestions for next year, none of whom I think are way too expensive but some are kind of borderline, but hey, I figure if enough people mention them they might end up headlining *cough*Los Campesinos!*cough*

Los Campesinos!
The Indelicates (how are these guys not already playing every festival going? They're the best new band this year surely?)
Frank Turner (of course)
Akira the Don
The Demon Barber Roadshow (Folk awards best live act)
Sonic Boom Six
Martha Tilston (great folk singer, lives in Stroud, like a stone's throw away from the festival)
Stars of Sunday League
Pengilly's
Emmy the Great
Darren Hayman (you know, the bloke from Hefner)
Fanfarlo
Milk Kan
And Now We're Even (these two are both mates with the King Blues aren't they? should be easy to get)
The Crimea
Grown At Home (are they still around? If so, get them)
Ruby and her Whorses (she's this kid in suffolk who writes great pop songs, definately worth a shout for the leaf lounge)
Set Your Goals (hope these guys are still around, havent heard anything about them for a while?)
The Voluntary Butler Scheme

And if you're going to rebook non-Frank Turner acts from previous years, then Dananananakroyd, Jay Jay Pistolet and Beans on Toast again would be great.

Oh yeh and how about Los Campesinos! to headline or something? Don't know if I mentioned them. Sorry for the long list, thought if I threw enough names out there one or two of them might stick to the line-up in a year's time.

Hi , it was my first 2000trees this year too and again, like the others, I had such a good time! So thanks to the organisers for that and all the people I met there etc...!

I particularly enjoyed:

King Blues
Exit Ten
Attack Attack
Rolo Tomassi
Dawn Chorus

I'd love to see any of those above back for next year.

And some possible others for next year:

Frank (of course)
Hundred Reasons (would be bloody bloody brilliant)
Devil Sold His Soul
Charlotte Hatherley

And if you convince them to reform:

Hell is for Heroes

And for other suggestions, Like a few have said, The silent disco to be on both nights

I trust whoever you get to play it'll be amazing again!
Can't wait till next year!

On this basis I was expecting some magic at their Reading set a few years ago (assuming they played their good tracks). Alas, they were rubbish!
