Nottingham’s latest alt-rock heroes, Swear Blind, are gearing up for the release of their fourth single, Hands, out on 6th October 2023 via Easthaven Records.

The latest release from the burgeoning 3-piece comes just a short time after the video release for their previous single, Still. The incredible video featured the illustrations of ten Nottingham artists, cut & animated together to create something truly special. Since their inception during the global Covid-19 pandemic, the band have seen shining a light on the Nottingham creative community as a key part of the project, and were very proud to have worked with some talented friends to produce the video. Lawson stated “We can’t express how grateful we are towards all the amazing artists who have contributed to make this project happen, it’s been a wonderful & inspiring experience working to create something with such talented people that we get to call our friends.”

Following the cinematic video for Dancing With The Devil and the more artistic & creative approach for Still, the soon-to-be-released video for Hands takes things back to alt-rock basics with a live music video. “More than anything else as a band, we adore performing live together” said Lawson, “we’ve been mates and in various bands together for 15 years, and the energy & passion we bring to the live element of the show when we’re on stage together is something we want to share with everyone!”. Luckily for fans, they’ll get the opportunity to experience Swear Blind live not just in this upcoming video, but also with their debut hometown show at Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms on 27th October, where the trio are immensely excited to bring their songs to life in a venue so close to their hearts.

Hands will once again feature dual vocals of Lawson & Buxton, further showcasing the impact the two musicians have when working together. The song is their heaviest to date with elements of funk, punk and metal. Citing their influences, Lawson says that the song is “inspired by the hardcore bands of the 90s” and “about being disillusioned with the world we live in”. Hands will be the fourth single from Swear Blind, and the next step on the road to the release of their debut full length, which they are very quickly gearing up for. Stay tuned.
